2. The petitioner apprehends his arrest for the offences alleged under Section 7 of the E.C. Act registered in connection with Mirganj P.S. Case No. 93 of 2018.

3. It is submitted that the petitioner has been falsely implicated and the petitioner who is the Block Supply Officer who is the owner of the vehicle from which recovery of 28 bags of rice has been made had no knowledge about the offending goods being carried by the driver. Co-accused Chandrakala Devi who is the concerned PDS dealer of rice has been granted anticipatory bail by this Court in Cr. Misc. No. 66186 of 2018.

4. Having regard to the nature of accusations and the gravity of the offence alleged, this Court is not inclined to grant

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.8353 of 2019(2) dt.13-02-2019 2/2 the privilege of anticipatory bail to the petitioner. The anticipatory bail petition stands dismissed. It is made clear that if the petitioner surrenders and seeks for regular bail before the Court below, the same shall be considered and disposed of expeditiously on its own merits.
