The petitioner has renewed his prayer for regular bail in connection with a case registered under sections 302 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code and section 27 of the Arms Act. As per the prosecution case the petitioner is stated to have shot the wife of the informant with firearm in her head. The fact is supported by the statements under section 161 Cr.P.C of the son and daughter of the informant as also the contents of the postmortem report.

It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that inspite of the petitioner having remained in custody since 5.2.2019, there is no progress in the learned trial Court and no chance of the trial concluding in the near future.

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No. 19486 of 2021(3) dt.25-08-2021 2/2 Heard learned APP for the State.

Heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the report from the learned Court below wherein it has been stated that the conduct of the physical Court having been affected due to Covid-19 pandemic, witnesses were neither produced nor examined.

In view of the nature of allegations the Court is not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail and the application is rejected.

Learned trial Court is directed to expedite the trial. (Partha Sarthy, J) Prakash/- U
