The petitioner is in custody in connection with Complaint Case No. 2230 of 2000 for offence punishable under Section 498A of the Indian Penal Code.

Mr. Pankaj Kumar Sinha, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that despite the position that the petitioner was granted anticipatory bail in Criminal Misc. No. 24765 of 2001, it is because he could not surrender within four weeks that the period was not extended. He submits that the petitioner is an aged person and the father-in-law of the complainant and that has surrendered to custody on 24.8.2015. Having heard learned counsel for the parties and

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.50393 of 2015 (2) dt.10-11-2015 considering the submissions advanced, let the petitioner Md. Gasul @ Md. Gasool Miyan be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of Sub Divisional Judicial Magistrate, Katihar in connection with Complaint Case No. 2230 of 2000.
