ABHISHEK REDDY ORAL ORDER 11-09-2024 It is stated by the counsel for the respondentCorporation that after the filing of the case, the petitioner has been paid the amount of Rs. 5,000/- as directed by the Lok Adalat vide awarded dated 06.12.2014 (Annexure-P/8). The above statement has not been disputed by the counsel for the petitioner. That insofar as the prayer of the petitioner for grant of interest on the amount of Rs. 5000/- is concerned, this Court is not inclined to grant the said relief on the ground of latches. The petitioner has approached this Hon'ble Court after lapse of more than 14 years from the date of the award. Further, there is nothing on record to indicate that the petitioner has approached

Patna High Court CWJC No.3184 of 2024(4) dt.11-09-2024 2/2 the Corporation seeking the payment of Rs. 5000/- as per the award of the Lok Adalat at any point of time in the last ten years. The CWJC is liable to be dismissed on this ground alone.
