JUSTICE ANIL KUMAR UPADHYAY ORAL ORDER 31-01-2018 Heard Mr. Sandeep Kumar learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner.

Mr. Sandeep Kumar submits that the petitioner is recipient of national award and as such under the policy decision of the Government the petitioner is entitled to extension of three years of service as national awardees are entitled to extension of three years of service but unfortunately respondents are acting contrary to the policy decision and petitioner has not been extended benefit of this policy decision. In view of the above, the writ petition is disposed of with direction to the respondent no.2 who shall see that final decision

Patna High Court CWJC No.17733 of 2016(2) dt.31-01-2018 2/2 with regard to grant of benefit under the policy decision for national awardee is extended to the petitioner, the respondent no.2 is under obligation to take final decision in the light of the policy decision of the Government within a maximum period of sixty days from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.

It is needless to state here that in case the petitioner is found entitled to extension of service in view of the policy decision, all consequential benefit must reach the petitioner within a further period of one month from the date of such decision by the respondents.
