2. The present writ petition has been filed for a direction to the respondents to grant PDS licence in favour of the petitioner on compassionate ground on the death of her father before attaining the age of 58 years in terms of Clause 10 of the Bihar Targeted PDS (Control) Order, 2016.

3. At the very outset, learned counsel for the petitioner

Patna High Court CWJC No.3437 of 2018 dt.10-07-2018 submits that it will suffice if the petitioner's application filed before SubDivisional Officer, Jehanabad (Respondent No. 5), received on 07.01.2017 is directed to be disposed of, in which event, the present writ petition need not be pressed on merits.

4. Learned counsel for the respondents appears and has been heard.

5. Having regard to the nature of the grievances and the stand of the petitioner, the present writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the Sub-Divisional Officer, Jehanabad (Respondent No. 5), to consider and dispose of the petitioner's application at Annexure-3, if the same is still pending before him, after grant of opportunity of hearing to the petitioner in accordance with law expeditiously and preferably within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this judgment.
