1. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned counsel for the respondents.

2. The Senior Superintendent of Police is required to consider the petitioner's representation, copy of which has been enclosed as Annexure-7. The petitioner's claim is that though he was possessing the qualification of intermediate, he has been appointed on a Group-D post. He is claiming to be given a Group-C post. He submits that as per the Annexure-2 series, being the various governmental notifications, he is entitled to such promotion based on his qualifications.

3. Since the issue is pending consideration before the Senior Superintendent of Police (Respondent No. 4), final decision is required to be passed by the respondent No. 4, which the Court directs, should be done expeditiously and within six

(6) months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.
