2. The petitioner seeks bail in a case registered for offence under Section Sections 8, 20(B)(II)(C), 29 of the N.D.P.S. Act.

3. As per F.I.R. 105.300 kg. of Ganja was recovered from a vehicle, bearing Registration No. BR44E-0001, and this petitioner along with two other persons were apprehended on the said vehicle.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner is neither owner nor driver of the seized vehicle. Petitioner was simply a co-passenger. Petitioner has got no concern with the recovery of alleged Ganja.

5. Learned A.P.P. for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits that petitioner was apprehended from the seized vehicle with alleged Ganja. Besides this, petitioner has

6. Considering the quantity of alleged recovered Ganja and criminal antecedent of similar nature, the prayer for bail of petitioner is rejected. However, since petitioner is in custody since 24.12.2024, the learned Trial Court is directed to expedite the trial.
