Petitioner, in the present case, is seeking a direction to the respondent authorities to register a First Information Report in connection with the alleged black marketing and hoarding of essential commodities (kerosene oil) by the private

Patna High Court CR. WJC No.2736 of 2017(2) dt.14-12-2022 2/2 respondent nos. 9 and 10.

On perusal of the writ application, it appears that the petitioner is a farmer by profession and this writ application seems to have been filed in the nature of a Public Interest Litigation. Moreover, the writ application shows that the procedure prescribed for lodging of the F.I.R. under the Code of Criminal Procedure has not at all been followed by the petitioner.

In these circumstances, this writ application is disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to seek his remedy before the appropriate court in appropriate jurisdiction in accordance with law.
