2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the bail application of the petitioner was earlier rejected twice vide orders dated 22.02.2023 and 31.07.2024, passed in Cr. Misc. Nos. 61116 of 2022 and 39798 of 2024, respectively.

3. Learned counsel further submits that the petitioner has a clean criminal antecedent and has been in custody since 30.08.2022. He also submits that on the previous occasion, a report regarding the present stage of the trial was called for.

4. Learned counsel for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits that a report regarding the present stage of

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.23149 of 2025(4) dt.25-07-2025 2/2 the trial was called for, and from the said report, it transpires that the evidence of both the prosecution and the defence has been closed, and the case is now fixed for argument.

5. In this view of the matter, this Court is not inclined to interfere in the trial and, accordingly, the bail application of the petitioner in connection with Sheikhopur Sarai P.S. Case No. 71 of 2020, pending before the Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate, Sheikhpura is rejected.

6. The Trial Court is directed to conclude the trial at the earliest.
