JUSTICE VIKASH JAIN ORAL JUDGMENT Date: 20-02-2018 The present writ petition has been filed for directing the respondent no. 1 to reopen the Savings Bank Account bearing No.11160143669 of S.B.I., Gaya main branch which has been freezed/closed without serving notice or any information to the petitioner since July, 2017.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioer's account with the respondent-Bank has been freezed/closed without affording any specific reason for the same, which is arbitrary and illegal. A representation dated 18.09.2017 (Annexure-2) has already been submitted to the Bank through registered post in this regard, which is still pending.

3. Learned counsel for the respondent-Bank appears and has been heard.

Having regard to the nature of the grievance of the petitioner, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent-Bank to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 18.09.2017 (Annexure-2), if still pending, on its own merits after grant of an opportunity of bearing heard to the petitioner in accordance with law expeditiously and in any event within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this judgment.
