JUSTICE RAKESH KUMAR ORAL ORDER 30-11-2015 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner, Sri Rajesh Kumar, learned Addl. Public Prosecutor and Sri Satyendra Narayan Singh, learned counsel, who has voluntarily appeared on behalf of the informant.

The petitioner, who is husband of the deceased and is in custody in Jai Nagar P.S. Case no.56 of 2014 registered for the offence under Sections 498(A), 304B/34 of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, has prayed for grant of bail.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that there is no specific accusation against the petitioner. He further submits that out of four accused, three accused persons have already been granted bail and, as such, the petitioner deserves privilege of bail.

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.52018 of 2015 (2) dt.30-11-2015 2/2 Learned Addl. Public Prosecution and learned counsel for the informant have opposed the prayer for bail. It was submitted that the petitioner was husband of the deceased and the marriage of the petitioner with the deceased was solemnized only four years back. It has been alleged that the death had occurred due to pouring of acid on the deceased.

Keeping in view the seriousness of accusation, I do not find any ground to extend the privilege of bail. The petition stands dismissed.
