Learned counsel for the State submits that the petitioner has retired from the post of Choukidar on 31.01.2012 and has claimed GPF amount with interest. Learned counsel further submits that GPF amount calculated up to the year 2011 has been paid along with the interest. However, for a period of one month i.e. till 31.01.2012, the deduction towards the GPF is being collected from the Respondent No. 5 i.e. the Circle Officer, Bihta, Distt. Patna, and soon after the receipt of the same, the GPF amount for one month along with the interest shall be paid to the petitioner.
Patna High Court CWJC No.5499 of 2021(4) dt.01-12-2021 2/2 In view of the statement made by learned counsel for the State, the District Provident Fund Officer, Patna (Respondent No.-4) is directed to pay the balance GPF amount with interest after collecting the necessary deduction from the Circle Officer, Bihta, Patna (Respondent No. 5) within a period of four months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.
With aforesaid observation and direction, this writ application stands disposed of.
