The petitioner has come with a simple prayer for conducting the election of the Managing Committee of the Koshi Central Co-operative Credit Society, Triveniganj, Supaul. There is no counter affidavit despite service of two copies to the State.

The contention of the learned counsel for the petitioner is that a detailed representation was given to the Registrar, Cooperative Society on 27.12.2019 itself (Annexure7) to this effect but even after lapse of four years, the respondent no.3 has not taken any decision.

Patna High Court CWJC No.3798 of 2020(2) dt.01-08-2023 2/2 In that view of the matter and considering that even after lapse of three and half years, there is no counter affidavit on behalf of the State, the writ petition stands disposed of with direction to the respondent no.3 to take immediate steps on the representation dated 27.12.2019 (Annexure-7) preferred by the petitioner, if still not taken and pass an order within eight weeks from today on conducting the said election, as stated above. The writ petition is disposed of.
