2. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents has stated that the amounts due to the petitioner are ready to be paid and to that effect demand draft has also been drawn, but, the petitioner is not accepting the same.

3. Counsel for the petitioner has stated that the amounts due to the petitioner are from the year 2011 and the petitioner having waited for almost 13 years, the authorities are now trying to pay the original bill amount without any interest therefore the petitioner is not accepting the demand draft.

4. Having regard to the above, the present Writ

Patna High Court CWJC No.2682 of 2022(12) dt.01-10-2024 2/2 Petition is disposed off directing the petitioner to accept the demand drafts issued by the authorities concerned without prejudice to his right to claim interest on the admitted due amounts for a period of 13 years and to that effect the petitioner may make a representation to the authorities concerned within a period of four weeks from today and the authorities shall consider the same and pass necessary orders.

5. With the above directions, the Writ Petition stands disposed off.
