The petitioner seeks bail in Karakat P.S. Case No.195 of 2014, S.T. No.868 of 2014 instituted for the offences under Sections 302 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 3(2)III, V and 3(X) of the Schedule Case/Schedule Tribe Prevention of Atrocities Act.
Allegation has made that the victim was chased and caught and thereafter allegedly put him on fire by lighting the matchbox after pouring Kerosene oil over him, on account of which the victim died.
Looking to the nature of allegation, this Court is not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. Accordingly the
Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.48209 of 2015 (2) dt.02-11-2015 prayer for bail is rejected. However, the trial court is directed to expedite the trial preferably within a period of nine months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order. (Shivaji Pandey, J) Vinay/- U T
