The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Excise Case No. C-III-02/2020, registered under Section 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise (Amendment) Act, 2016. The accusation is of recovery of 825 bottles, each containing 180 ml and 255 bottles, each containing 180 ml from a Hyundai car, which was being driven by Sonu Ansari on which the petitioner and others were found sitting. Submission is that in fact, the petitioner was the passenger in the car and he had no knowledge about carrying the liquor by the driver of the vehicle.
