JUSTICE ANJANI KUMAR SHARAN ORAL ORDER 25-08-2021 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned A.P.P. for the State through virtual Court proceedings. Vide order dated 28.07.2021, a report was called for from the learned Court below regarding the stage of the trial. In compliance thereof, a report dated 05.08.2021 sent by the learned A.D.J.-VI, Siwan has been received and which is at Flag 'A' to this application. In his report, the learned Judge has, inter alia, stated that warrants against the prosecution witnesses have already been issued but the progress of trial of this case became slow down due to Covid-19 and lock-down.

Considering the report aforesaid, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. The prayer for bail of the petitioner is hereby rejected.

However, the learned Trial Court is directed to

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.18741 of 2021(3) dt.25-08-2021 2/2 conclude the trial as expeditiously as possible preferably within six months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order and Superintendent of Police, Siwan is directed to ensure production of the witnesses in the case on each and every date fixed without fail.

Let a copy of this order be communicated to S.P., Siwan by fax for needful.
