2. Petitioner seeks regular bail in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 80 and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita .
3. As per F.I.R. informant's daughter was married with this petitioner, namely, Rahul Kumar in the year 2024. After sometime, this petitioner along with his family members started subjecting the victim to cruelty and harassment for nonfulfilment of demand of dowry. Ultimately, on 20.7.2025 informant received information that his daughter has died.
4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner is husband of the deceased. He is innocent and has
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.8135 of 2026(4) dt.13-05-2026 2/2 committed no offence as alleged. As a matter of fact, deceased herself committed suicide by hanging. He is in custody since 23.07.2025 . Charge has already been framed in this case. Petitioner claims clean antecedent.
5 . Learned A.P.P. for the State as well as informant vehemently opposed the bail application .
6. Considering the period of custody, tardy progress of trial and other circumstances of the case, the bail application is allowed . Let the above named petitioner be released on bail on furnishing bail-bond of Rs. 10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate I, Jamui in Chandradeep PS Case No. 129 of 2025 .
