JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 14-12-2022 The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief:- "That the petitioner above named craves for indulgent of this Hon'ble court by way of issuance of any appropriate order/orders, direction/ directions, writ/ writs preferably in the nature of mandamus commanding and directing the respondents concerned to pay the petitioner amount of compensation

Patna High Court CWJC No.2555 of 2022(2) dt.14-12-2022 2/3 under social security scheme as admissible and approved by the competent authority under the provisions of Disaster Management Act as 7 years daughter namely Anchal Kumari of the petitioner has died on 14.11.2018 by drowning in River Koshi during the Chhath festival and upon proper enquiry and investigation a recommendation has been made for payment of compensation to the next Kin of the girl vide a letter dated 07.08.2019 from the level of S.D.O. Simri Bakhtiarpur but till date no payment has been made and or any relief/ reliefs for which the petitioner is found entitled in the facts and circumstances of the case."

At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioner to approach the District Magistrate, Saharsa for redressal of his aforesaid grievances. Liberty, so sought, is granted.

It is needless to state that in case, appropriate representation is filed within a period

Patna High Court CWJC No.2555 of 2022(2) dt.14-12-2022 3/3 of four weeks from today, the District Magistrate, Saharsa shall take appropriate action and pass appropriate orders, in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks, thereafter.

The writ petition stands disposed of on the aforesaid terms.
