JUSTICE ASHUTOSH KUMAR) 02-03-2022 Mr. Bimlesh Kumar Pandey, learned Advocate for the petitioner submits that even though the appeal was preferred by him before the Collector, West Champaran against the order of cancellation of his Public Distribution System licence in the year, 2015, but the same has not yet been decided.
It is surprising to us that the petitioner has approached this Court only in February, 2022 for a direction to the appellate authority to dispose of the
Patna High Court CWJC No.2594 of 2022(2) dt.02-03-2022 2/2 appeal.
Though we do not appreciate the action of the Appellate Authority in keeping such appeal pending for such a long time, but the petitioner is also at fault in raising this plea so late in the day.
Be that as it may, we direct the Appellate Authority to dispose of the appeal preferred by the petitioner vide Appeal No.2 of 2015-16 positively within a period of sixty days from the date of receipt/ production of a copy of this order.
With the aforesaid observation and direction, this writ petition stands disposed of.
