The petitioner has approached this Court for correction in the record of the Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi.

The petitioner appeared in the CBSE examination as regular candidate from DAV Public School, Kotwa Road, Bankat, Motihari in the year 2011-13.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in the record of CBSC instead of Jayant Kumar, it was wrongly mentioned as Jayant Shukla. Similarly, in the name of the father of the petitioner instead of Vijay Kumar Shukla, it was wrongly mentioned as Vijay Shukla.

Patna High Court CWJC No.18823 of 2017(2) dt.12-07-2019 2/3 Mr. Vinay Krishna Tripathi, learned counsel representing the C.B.S.E. submits that correction presupposes the verification of the school record. For correction in terms of the Regulation of the CBSE, the petitioner is required to get his application forwarded by the school, in question, with the following documents:- (a) the transfer certificate of the school where from the petitioner took admission in DAV school, (b) the admission form of the petitioner (filled up) submitted at the time of taking admission in DAV and (c) admission withdrawal document.

All these informations are available with the DAV school where from the petitioner has appeared in the CBSE examination.

Considering the procedural requirement for correction, the writ application is disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to approach the DAV school and the DAV school is under obligation to furnish all the aforesaid details while forwarding the case of the petitioner for correction in the record of CBSE.

The Court hope and trust that the DAV School, in question, shall forward the case of the petitioner enclosing the

Patna High Court CWJC No.18823 of 2017(2) dt.12-07-2019 3/3 information required by the CBSE indicated herein above within a maximum period of 15 days from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order and on receipt of the information of the school, in question, the CBSE will do the needful within a further period of 15 days. . With the aforesaid, the writ application stands disposed of.
