Petitioner is seeking anticipatory bail in connection with Karpi P.S. Case No. 163 of 2018 registered for the offences punishable under Section 30A of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016.

It appears from perusal of the records that there is a seizure of illicit liquor from the dickey of the motorcycle which was standing inside the house of the petitioner. Learned APP for the State submits that the motorcycle also belongs to the petitioner.

In the given facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is not willing to extend the privilege of anticipatory bail to the petitioner. In case the petitioner surrenders and prays for

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.8972 of 2019(2) dt.18-02-2019 2/2 regular bail in the court below within a period of four weeks from today, the same shall be considered on the basis of the materials available on the record without being prejudiced by the order of this Court.
