2. Petitioner is accused in a case registered for the offences under Sections 302/201/120-B/34 of the Penal Code. He is named in the First Information Report as suspect. It is said that petitioner and two others had come to the residence of the informant to accompany him to the market, three days thereafter dead body was recovered from a drain. Counsel submits that from the post mortem report of the deceased, it appears that he was done to death by causing strangulation in previous 24 hours. In the circumstances, for the present, I am not inclined to release the petitioner on bail. He is in jail custody with effect from 26.05.2014 i.e. for more than 10 months, as such, court below is directed to take steps for commitment of the case to the Court of Sessions, if not already committed and thereafter proceed with the trial.
