2. The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Special Case No. 13 of 2024 arising out of Vigilance Police Station Case No. 09 of 2024 instituted for the offences under Sections 7(a), 7(c) and 12 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988.

3. The prosecution case is to the effect that petitioner demanded Rs. 20,000/- and he was caught red handed while accepting Rs. 18,000/- cash which was recovered from the conscious possession of the petitioner.

4. It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that petitioner has falsely been implicated in this case and the petitioner is not the Chowkidar of the police station and even he

It is further submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner carries clean antecedent and he has been falsely implicated in the present case and the entire story of post and pre-trap has been a table work by the department of Vigilance. It is lastly submitted that the petitioner is in custody since 21.09.2024.

5. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the State has vehemently opposed the prayer for bail of the petitioner and has submitted that the petitioner was caught red handed while accepting bribe of Rs. 18,000/-.

Considering the aforesaid submissions of respective counsels and taking into account the fact that the petitioner is in custody since 21.09.2024, the petitioner above named, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail-bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Special Judge Vigilance North Bihar Mujaffarpur in connection with Special Case No. 13 of 2024 arising out of Vigilance P.S. Case No. 09 of 2024, subject to the the following conditions:- (i) One of the bailors will be a close relative of the petitioner.

(ii) The petitioner will remain

(iii) In case of absence on two consecutive dates or in violation of the terms of the bail, the bail bond of the petitioner will be liable to be canceled by the Court concerned.
