2. By filing the present writ application, the petitioner has prayed for the following reliefs:

I) For setting aside the order contained in Letter No. VCR-2062/07 dated 25.11.2007, issued under the signature of the Registrar, Lalit Narayan Mithila University, Kameshwar Nagar, Darbhanga, as contained in Annexure P/1 to the present writ applicaton, by which the claim of the petitioner for regularization of his

Patna High Court CWJC No.2625 of 2022(5) dt.20-06-2024 2/3 daily wage appointment has been held to be not tenable and, accordingly, rejected.

ii) For directing the respondent Lalit Narayan Mithila University, Kameshwar Nagar, Darbhanga, and its authorities to regularise the service of the petitioner on the post of Sweeper in the prescribed scale of pay with effect from the date of his initial appointment i.e. 21.09.1993 and, accordingly, grant him all consequential benefits including payment of arrears as well as current salary.

iii) For any other relief or reliefs for which the petitioner is found to be legally entitled in the facts and circumstances of the present case.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has filed an appeal before His Excellency, the Chancellor of Universities of Bihar, Raj Bhawan, under Section 9(4) of the Bihar Universities Act, 1976 on 21.09.2016, but on order has been passed on the aforesaid appeal filed by the petitioner till date.

4. Learned counsel for the Chancellor submits that the representation of the petitioner is still pending before the office of Hon'ble Chancellor.

5. In view of the submission made by learned counsels for the parties, in my view, no useful purpose would be served keeping this writ application pending.

6. Accordingly, this writ application is disposed of with a direction to the office of the Hon'ble Chancellor to dispose

Patna High Court CWJC No.2625 of 2022(5) dt.20-06-2024 3/3 of the representation of the petitioner by a reasoned and speaking order in accordance with law after hearing the counsel for the petitioner within one month from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order. It is further directed to the office of Hon'ble Chancellor to inform the date of hearing well in advance to learned counsel for the petitioner.

7. With the aforesaid direction, this writ application stands disposed of.
