The petitioner apprehends arrest in connection with Civil Lines P.S. Case No. 399 of 2017, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 341, 323, 379, 307/34 of the Indian Penal Code.

Petitioner is alleged to have fired with the pistol upon the informant, which did not hit him. Thereafter, he assaulted the informant with the butt of the pistol causing injury on his left scalp as is recorded by the Sessions Court in the impugned order. That apart, the weapon used by the petitioner is stated to be unlicensed one.

In the light of aforesaid facts and circumstances, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
