The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Forbesganj P.S. Case No.02 of 2020, arising out of Special Case No.16 of 2020, registered under Section 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016.

The accusation is that while the informant along with other police personnel was on patrolling duty, then they came to know that Dewan Paswan (petitioner) used to purchase and sell the liquor in his village-Matiari. Thereafter, the informant along with other police personnel reached there and searched the house of the petitioner from where 100 bottles, each containing 300 ml. Nepali Liquor, were recovered.

Submission is that the petitioner has no criminal

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.14091 of 2020(2) dt.13-05-2020 2/2 antecedent and is in custody since 02.01.2020. Having regard to the facts and the circumstances of the case, the petitioner, above named, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/-(Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the 2nd Additional Sessions Judge-cum-Special Judge, Araria, District-Araria, in connection with Forbesganj P.S. Case No.02 of 2020, arising out of Special Case No.16 of 2020.
