Patna High Court CWJC No.9678 of 2018 dt.25-07-2018 2/3 Date: 25-07-2018 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner; State; State Bank of India and the Accountant General.

2. The petitioner is aggrieved by non-payment of his pension even after superannuating on 31.12.2015.

3. From the records and the stand taken on behalf of the State Bank of India, it transpires that the petitioner has probably submitted his papers before the wrong Branch of the State Bank of India, i.e., Sitamarhi instead of Riga and also that his signature not tallying with the name Ram Lakhan 'Ram' because the authorities found it to read as Ram Lakhan 'Rai' and instead of the petitioner clarifying the matter that he had signed 'Ram' and not 'Rai', he chose to add alias in his name, i.e., Ram Lakhan Rai. This simplistic approach has landed the petitioner in trouble.

4. In view thereof, for securing the ends of justice and ensuring that the pensionary benefits of the petitioner are paid to him, the Court directs the petitioner to re-submit his papers before the respondents no. 7 and 12 signing his name as Ram Lakhan Ram along with necessary documents in support thereof, like copies of documents which have been brought on record. Upon doing so, the respondents no. 7 and 12 shall ensure that all formalities are completed and payment started to the petitioner along with up-to-date

Patna High Court CWJC No.9678 of 2018 dt.25-07-2018 3/3 arrears of pension, expeditiously and latest within six weeks from the date of production of a copy of this order before the respondents no. 7 and 12.

5. The writ petition stands disposed off in the aforementioned terms.
