1. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned APP for the State.
2. The petitioner seeks bail in Paliganj P. S. Case No. 124 of 2025 registered for the offences punishable under Section 108 of the B.N.S.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is a person with clean antecedent and is in custody since 24.11.2025. It is next submitted that informant alleges that on 05.03.2025 at 9.30 A.M. when petitioner came to her house and started shouting banging the door. Further, the petitioner asked the victim to come out of the house, but she refused on which the petitioner threatened that if she will not come with him, he will defame her and ruined her married life and will
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.11011 of 2026(3) dt.17-04-2026 2/3 come again next day and again ridicule her in front of 10-15 persons. Further, on account of insult meted out, her daughter committed suicide by hanging.
4. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner has been falsely implicated in the instant case by the informant. It is further submitted that petitioner and the victim were known to each other being neighbour and the victim was married to another person, as such, the victim out of anger committed suicide, but then, informant for reasons best known implicated the petitioner.
5. Learned A.P.P. opposes the regular bail application and submits that the case has been instituted by mother of the deceased and it does not appear probable that mother would falsely implicate the petitioner, but then, it is fairly submitted that victim committed suicide, on which, the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that whether victim committed suicide on account of humiliation meted out by the petitioner or for some other reason is a matter of trial.
6. After hearing the learned counsel for the parties, the Court is not inclined to release the petitioner on bail.
7. The prayer of the petitioner for regular bail stands rejected.
