Petitioner apprehends arrest in a case registered for the offence punishable under sections 307/504/506 and other ancillary sections of the Indian Penal Code.

As per the prosecution case, on the alleged date and time of the occurrence, accused persons including the petitioner assaulted with iron rod as a result of which three persons sustained multiple grievous injuries.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that allegation of assault is general and omnibus against the petitioner and no specific overt act has been alleged against him.

Learned counsel for the State and informant oppose the prayer for bail. They submit that the petitioner is named in the FIR with specific and direct allegation that he and other accused persons assaulted the informant side, causing grievous injuries to three persons.
