01-12-2020 2/3 Date : 01-12-2020 Petitioners have prayed for the following relief(s):- "That the instant application in the form of Public Interest Litigation is being preferred for issuance of appropriate writ(s) thereby commanding and directing upon the respondents concerned to expedite the project relating to acquisition of land lying vacant and unutilized in the campus of the Sub-Divisional Court, Narkatiyaganj, West Champaran, belonging to the Department of Fisheries, Government of Bihar as also of local administration, for construction of SubDivisional, Civil Court building and quarters for judicial officers on the campus of the sub-divisional court on the land lying vacant as pointed out by the Bar Association and consented by the local administration in course of meeting held between the then Hon'ble Inspecting Judge and the local administration as back as on 11.
02.2017 and 15.04.2017 and/or grant any other relief(s) which the petitioner Association may be entitled to in the facts and circumstances of this case in the interest of common public and litigants of Narkatiyaganj, West Champaran."
From perusal of the counter affidavit, it appears that necessary steps have already been taken for acquisition of land for construction of Sub-divisional Court as well as residential complex of Judicial Officers.
For the reasons as stated above, no purpose would be served by continuing the present proceeding any further, as such same is disposed of.
Liberty reserved to any public spirited person to approach the Court, if the need so rises subsequently on the same and subsequent cause of action.
