====================================================== CORAM: HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE ANJANI KUMAR SHARAN ORAL ORDER 27-01-2025 Heard senior learned counsel for the petitioner and learned counsels for the respondents.

By filing the present writ application, the petitioner has prayed primarily for issuance of a direction/order/writ including writ in the nature of Mandamus commanding the concerned respondent Authorities under the Magadh University Bodh Gaya and Education Department of the State Government to take steps towards making payment of arrears of an amount of Rs. 11,61,710/- admissible in favour of the petitioner as difference of salary and benefits granted under Assured Career Progression

Patna High Court CWJC No.2675 of 2022(5) dt.27-01-2025 2/3 Scheme/Modified Assured Career Progression Scheme and accordingly take steps towards revising the pension and other retirement benefits and making payment of the same on current basis along with their arrears in accordance with law.

Learned counsel for the University submits that in direction to make payment of arrears of an amount of Rs. 11,61,710/- in favour of the petitioner, the University had send the necessary documents to the Pay Verification Cell of the State Government for proper examination of the admissibility since the payment cannot be made without the proper verification and examination of the bill claims by the State Government, but due to some objection raised by the State Government, the same was returned in lack of relevant documents.

4. It is further submitted that after enclosing requisite documents, learned counsel for the University submits before this Court that the University shall again send the requisite documents to the Pay Verification Cell of the State Government within one week from today.

5. Considering the arguments of the parties, I deem it fit to direct the State of Bihar to verify and examine the aforesaid documents and return the same to the University as expeditiously as possible and the respondent University is

Patna High Court CWJC No.2675 of 2022(5) dt.27-01-2025 3/3 directed to pay the said amount to the petitioner within a period of one month from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.

6. Needless to state that the State Government as well as the University shall be held responsible for non-compliance of this order within the stipulated period.

7. With the aforesaid, the writ application stands disposed of.
