Patna High Court CWJC No.3278 of 2019(4) dt.23-07-2019 2/3 12th July 2019 written by the under Secretary to the Government of India, Ministry of Labour and Employment to the District Magistrate-cum-Chairman, National Child Labour Project Society, East Champaran, Motihari. By this letter the under Secretary to the Government of India has called upon the District Magistrate, East Champaran, Motihari to verify the claim of the N.G.O. namely Vijeta and settle their claims out of an unspent balance of Rs. 56,72,770/- which is said to be lying with the project society.

In the aforesaid view of the matter, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that his grievance would stand redress if the District Magistrate, East Champaran, Motihari who is also Chairman of the District Child Labour Project Society (Respondent No. 5) is directed to verify the claim of the petitioners and do the needful towards settlement of the dues of the petitioners within a reasonable time.

In the given facts and circumstances of this case, this Court directs Respondent No. 5 to look into the letter/communication dated 12th July, 2019 (Annexure 'R/A'), consider the grievance of the petitioners, verify the claims and upon verification take a decision towards the settlement of the dues of the petitioners. In case, however, there is any issue with regard to the verification etc., the claim either in whole or part of the petitioners if refused, the reasons thereof must be provided to the petitioners within the same period.
