The petitioner seeks bail in Manjhi P.S. Case No. 93 of 2014, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 304B and 34 of the Indian Penal Code.
The brother of the deceased made allegation that Chandan Giri the husband of his sister Puja Kumari was torturing his sister. Yogendra Giri was also helping his son. Sri Vishwanath Pd. Singh, the learned Sr. counsel has submitted that the petitioner is father-in-law and there is no allegation of torture or demand of dowry against the petitioner. Even during the course of investigation Fufa of the deceased stated that the petitioner informed him that froth was coming from the mouth of the deceased and let her parents be informed. No
Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.48836 of 2014 (3) dt.19-03-2015 2/2 material has been collected against the petitioner. It is further submitted that the deceased was pregnant and on account of some complications of pregnancy she died while on way to hospital. Having considered the facts that the petitioner is fatherin-law of the deceased, there is allegation against him about the demand of dowry and torture and the petitioner is in jail since 04.10.2014, the petitioner above named is directed to be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Saran at Chapra in connection with Manjhi P.S. Case No. 93 of 2014.
