The petitioner is in custody in connection with Baikunthpur P.S. Case No. 206 of 2017 for the offenses under Sections 341, 323, 379, 504, 506, 427 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has no criminal antecedent. Allegation against the petitioner in the instant case is that he, along with other accused persons, was involved in assaulting the informant and snatched the motorcycle and cash from the informant. Learned counsel for the petitioner further submits that there is no specific overt act alleged against the petitioner. The petitioner is in custody since 02.12.2019.
