In this case, the petitioner is seeking bail in connection with Bagaha P.S. Case No. 369 of 1999 registered for offences under sections 364A and 120B of the Indian Penal Code. Allegation has been made, the petitioner and others in connivance, kidnapped the victim for ransom.

It appears that the name of the petitioner has surfaced during investigation and so much so that the petitioner remained absconding for about 16 years. The plea has been taken that the petitioner had no knowledge of the case, having no criminal antecedent which does not satisfy the conscious of the Court. In such view of the matter, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this petition is rejected.
