2. The present petition has been preferred for the grant of following relief(s):
"(a) to issue a writ of mandamus or any other writ or writs, direction or directions commanding upon the respondents not to settle the land of the petitioners to any other persons and to cause interference in the peaceful possession of the petitioners over the land in question.
Patna High Court CWJC No.16772 of 2017(2) dt.06-05-2025 2/2 (b) to pass any such other order or orders as this Hon'ble Court thinks fit and proper under the facts and circumstances of this case."
3. The case of the petitioners is/are that with the change of course of Budhi Gandak River, their land which earlier got submerged has now come up and they are entitled to its possession.
4. Learned State counsel has taken this Court to paragraph no.9 to show that they wanted to approach the Director for consideration of their matter.
5. In the opinion of this Court, it is the matter to be decided by the State as number of such persons may be affected/claiming and/or frivolous petitions may be coming before them.
6. In that background, granting liberty to the petitioners to approach the appropriate authority/competent court for the redressal of their grievance, the writ petition stands disposed of.
