JUSTICE ASHUTOSH KUMAR ORAL ORDER 03-03-2020 The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Jalley P.S. Case No. 160 of 2019 instituted for the offences under Sections 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition & Excise Act, 2016.

It appears that from behind the tea shop of one Sagar Mahto, 82.5 litres of liquor was recovered. During the course of search, the police came to learn that the persons behind bringing the consignment of liquor are others including the petitioner.

Regard being had to the nature of accusation which is based on information provided by local persons

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.13252 of 2020(2) dt.03-03-2020 2/2 and the period of custody of the petitioner which is from 23.12.2019, the petitioner, above named, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 10,000/-(ten thousands) with sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned 2nd Additional Sessions Judge-cum-Special Judge (Excise), Darbhanga in connection with Jalley P.S. Case No. 160 of 2019. While saying so, this Court has also taken note of the fact that after lodging of the present case, the petitioner has been made accused in another case of similar nature.
