The grievance of the petitioner in the present writ application is inaction on the part of the respondent authorities in the matter of compassionate appointment.

Compassionate appointment was introduced with a view to provide financial assistance to the family of employee died in harness.

The father of the petitioner died in harness on 26.09.2014, thereafter the petitioner has approached the

Patna High Court CWJC No.3400 of 2020(2) dt.24-02-2020 2/2 respondents for consideration of his case for compassionate appointment, but till date no final decision was taken one way or the other.

Under the aforesaid circumstance, the writ application is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to take appropriate decision on the claim of the petitioner for compassionate appointment at the earliest preferably within a period of three months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.

While taking decision they are required to take into consideration the recommendation of the High Power Committee as contained in Memo No. 1275 dated 26.09.2019. (Anil Kumar Upadhyay, J) uday/- U
