1. The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief(s):- "1. That this an application for issuing writ(s) order(s) direction(s) for quashing the promotion list dated 19.10.2023 with reference no. 5396 for promotion of Junior Staff of the Excise & Registration Department who are Junior to the Petitioner & Petition not be promoted as a Principal Upper Division Clerk by order of Higher Authority department and it will be quashed."

2. At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioner to approach the respondent no.2, i.e. the Assistant I.G. Registration, New

Patna High Court CWJC No.3980 of 2024(2) dt.22-03-2024 2/2 Secretariat, Bihar, Patna, for redressal of his aforesaid grievances. Liberty so sought is granted.

3. It is needless to state that in case appropriate representation is filed by the petitioner, before the respondent no.2, i.e. the Assistant I.G. Registration, New Secretariat, Bihar, Patna, within a period of two weeks from today, the same shall be considered, in accordance with law and a reasoned and a speaking order shall be passed, thereon, within a period of six weeks, thereafter.

4. The writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
