2. The present writ petition has been filed for the following reliefs:

"(i) For issuance of an appropriate writ, order/direction in the nature of 'Mandamus' directing and commanding the concerned respondents to give the compensation of the land in question to the petitioner in accordance to the right to fair compensation and transparency in land acquisition, rehabilitation and resettlement act 2013 or in accordance to the Bihar Land Acquisition Niyamawali.

(ii) For issuance of an appropriate writ order/direction in the nature of 'mandamus' directing and commanding to the concerned respondent authorities to make the entire

(iii) For issuance of an appropriate writ order or direction in the nature of 'mandamus' directing and commanding the concern respondents to make the payment of compensation of the land in question to the petitioner in accordance to the current provision and rules. (iv) For any other relief or reliefs to which the petitioner found entitled to may kindly be allowed to the petitioner."

3. The claim of the petitioner is that the District Administration took over the land without resorting to the legal process. The land in question is in Thana No. 218, Tauzi No. 544, Area of 0.4 decimal in Ward No. 10, Mauza Gobarbhardha under Supaul District. The State as usual failed to file any affidavit in this matter despite the writ petition being pending for 9 long years.

4. With that background, instead of keeping the case pending, it would be appropriate that the petitioner approaches the same authority against whom she claims action, i.e., the Collector, Supaul. She shall be providing all the documents before the respondent no. 3 (Collector, Supaul) to satisfy the said authority about the genuineness of her claim.

5. Needless to add, if the Collector, Supaul comes to the conclusion that the petitioner has genuine grievance, the financial benefits has to follow.

6. The writ petition stands disposed of with the aforesaid observation.
