The matter is thereafter heard on merits.

The Learned Single Judge has dismissed the writ application of the appellant, because he refused to pass any decisive order for making any correction in the date of birth at the fag end of service of the appellant, who was initially appointed on the post of Chaukidar.

The view taken by the Learned Single Judge seems to be correct, as no change in date of birth is permissible towards the

Patna High Court LPA No.2360 of 2016(3) dt.04-01-2018 2/2 fag end of service. Discrepancy, if any, must be pointed out to the concerned authorities within the first ten years of entrance into service. This is basically an effort to hang on to the job without any substantial basis.

Appeal has no merit. It is dismissed.
