The petitioner apprehends his arrest in connection with Excise Case No. 1030 of 2019 for the offence under Sections 30(a) (c) (d) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Amendment Act, 2016.

In the instant case total 35 litres of country made liquor and six quintals of Meetha were recovered. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has got no criminal antecedent. He further submits that nothing was recovered from the possession of the petitioner and the liquor and the alleged raw material were seized from the house occupied by the large number of family members. He, however, submits that the petitioner is a business man registered with GST number and he has necessary document to substantiate the same.

No.7790 of 2020(2) dt.02-03-2020 2/2 Considering the aforesaid, the petitioner named above, in the event of arrest or surrender before the court below within one month from today, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs.50,000/- (Rupees fifty thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of Additional Sessions Judge-IX-cum- Special Judge, Excise Act, East Champaran, Motihari in connection with Excise Case No. 1030 of 2019 subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure with the condition of verification of GST number of the petitioner.
