The petitioner filed this writ petition for a direction to the respondents to pay the compensation according to new Land Acquisition Act.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner purchased 2970 square feet land, appertaining to Khata No.09, Block No.45, situated in Mouza- Ramachak from Lochan Sahkari Grih Nirman Samiti Ltd, Patna, in the year 1999, but when the petitioner approached the authority for mutation of his land, the petitioner was informed that the land has already been acquired but the petitioner did not take any step thereafter. There is a procedure for acquisition of land under the Land Acquisition

Patna High Court CWJC No.18922 of 2017 (2) dt.14-05-2018 2/2 Act. The petitioner has not been able to show that the land was duly purchased by Lochan Sahkari Grih Nirman Samiti Ltd, Patna from whom, the petitioner purchased the land. In this view of the fact, I dispose of this writ petition with a direction to the petitioner to file representation before the Land Acquisition Officer, who shall decided the matter as to whether the land of the petitioner has been acquired vide Notification No.1286 dated 21.08.2008. Land Acquisition Officer shall dispose of the representation of the petitioner within four months from the date of receipt of this order. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of.
