For the Petitioner/s : Mr. Binod Kumar, Advocate For the Opposite Party/s : Mr. Ambika Bhagat, Spl. P.P. ====================================================== CORAM: HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE ASHWANI KUMAR SINGH ORAL ORDER 3 30-01-2016 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Special Public Prosecutor for the State.

The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Patepur P.S. Case No. 107 of 2014 registered under Sections 302 read with 34 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 3(2)(v) of the Scheduled Castes & Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.

It is contended that the deceased died a natural death during treatment in a private clinic.

On the other hand, learned Special Public Prosecutor of the State has vehemently opposed the application

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.52687 of 2015 (3) dt.30-01-2016 2 / 2 for grant of bail to the petitioner. He has submitted that the petitioner being the husband killed his wife and hurriedly disposed of her dead body. The statement of the informant has duly been corroborated by several other witnesses during investigation of the case.

Regard being had to the gravity of the offence and the serious nature of allegation made against the petitioner, I am not inclined to grant him bail. Accordingly, the prayer for bail is rejected.
