Petitioners were not caught on the spot but it is stated that while they were fleeing after committing theft of rupee one lakh and odd, they were caught by the police party in course of routine checking of the vehicles but entire stolen amount was not recovered from their possession. It is stated that one bundle of denomination of Rs 10/- was recovered from their possession.

Petitioners do not have any criminal antecedent and they are languishing in jail custody since long.

Accordingly, the above named petitioners are directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs 10,000/- each with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the Chief
