JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 27-09-2022 The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief:- "1. That this is an application for issuance of writ or writs in the nature of mandamus commanding/directing the official respondents to grant permission for extension of area from Rohtas District to whole of Bihar as the petitioner is having valid arms license No. 6/15 for NP Bore Rifle No. AB/1700149 having UNI No. 051920032312292017 which is valid for Rohtas District only but petitioner being an agriculturist and social activist, has to travel one place to another and moreover his family is residing at Patna

Patna High Court CWJC No.2733 of 2020(2) dt.27-09-2022 2/2 for better education of his children hence he applied for extension of area on 10.12.18 but the respondent authorities are sitting tight over the matter which is erroneous and against Schedule-V, Serial No. 9 of Arms Rule, 2016."

At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that though the petitioner has filed appropriate application before the District Magistrate, Rohtas at Sasaram on 10.12.2018, however, no decision has been taken thereon till date.

Accordingly, the District Magistrate, Rohtas at Sasaram is directed to pass appropriate orders on the aforesaid application, if filed by the petitioner & in case the same is pending, within a period of twelve weeks of receipt / production of a copy of this order.

The writ petition stands disposed of.
