From the affidavit, it transpires that, having investigated, it was found, according to the Investigating Officer, that the case was true; but thereafter, the case has been taken over by the Crime Investigation Department, Government of Bihar, and the investigation is still pending.

WJC No.958 of 2016 (3) dt.03-10-2016 2/2 In view of the above and in the interest of justice, the application is hereby closed with liberty granted to the petitioner to approach this Court with appropriate application, in future, if so advised, and also take recourse to such provisions of law as may be permissible.

Having considered the averments made in the writ petition and materials on record and upon hearing the parties, it is hereby directed that respondent No.11, namely, Superintendent of Police, Crime Investigation Department, Patna, shall enquire into the grievances raised in the writ petition, do the needful in accordance with law and get the investigation of Saharsa Sadar P.S. Case No. 713 of 2014 completed expeditiously, preferably, within a period of six months, ensuring proper, fair and effective investigation in such a way that no innocent person is harassed. Let a copy of this order be sent forthwith to the Superintendent of Police, Crime Investigation Department, Patna, and Station House Officer, Sadar Police Station, Saharsa. With the aforesaid observations and directions, this writ petition stands disposed of.
