====================================================== CORAM: HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 25-08-2022 In compliance of the earlier order of this Court dated 21.7.2022, a counter affidavit has been filed by the Respondents, which is taken on record wherein it has been stated that the entire amount of gratuity, GPF, group insurance and leave encashment has already stood paid and as far as the pension amount is concerned, the same is being paid currently, however, the arrears for the period 1.3.2021 to 30.4.2022, amounting to a

Patna High Court CWJC No.2771 of 2022(4) dt.25-08-2022 2/2 sum of Rs. 5,70,690/-, is remaining to be paid and for the same, a letter dated 20.8.2022 has been sent to the office of the Accountant General, Bihar, Patna, for sanction of the same.

The learned counsel for the Account General, Bihar, Patna submits that the same shall be cleared within a period of one week from today. It is directed accordingly.

Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, the present writ petition stands disposed of with a direction to the respondent authorities to ensure payment of the aforesaid outstanding amount on the head of arrears of pension within a period of two weeks, failing which the Director General of Police, Bihar, Patna shall not draw his salary.
